We are a crazy hectic family who simply love being real and helping people. We created Outdoor Grit because we believe that health and fitness is the doorway to achieving better, longer more satisfying lives.

Our goal is to give you a high-quality and personable health and fitness experience that leads to long-lasting results in your strength, fitness and body composition.

We’re big on the process and love to celebrate the progress. The programming methodology we use will provide you with the tools, knowledge and grit to create a better lifestyle for you – one that is without restriction or dependence on other people or physical aids.

We want every person who attends a fitness session to walk away knowing it was the best hour of their day.

I’m coach Dan , the original founder and Head Coach of this operation.

Sport and fitness have always been huge in my life. When I was two years old I broke my leg; but that didn’t stop me from kicking a soccer ball around the backyard using my cast. Some 40 years later, I can’t lay on a beach for hours and you won’t find me on a chilled tropical cruise. Instead, I’d rather run a trail, work out in a CrossFit gym or compete in the sport of Triathlons.

I love doing different stuff whether it be endurance, strength, gymnastics or all three at once. General physical fitness is my thing and I use it to be a better dad, husband and person to the world. My goals are to be the world’s most awesome great granddad and show my kids that great health and fitness provides a foundation for a life of wild and uncapped adventures.

During my days, I lead the South Australian FIT College Campus, teaching the next wave of up and coming personal trainers. My passion is coaching clients, writing great programs that deliver authentic results and learning about fitness, nutrition and human movement.

Hey there, I’m Mel, a super busy (who isn’t?!) mum of two amazing little children. My goal in every session that I coach is to create a training environment that will see my clients having fun and working hard, enjoying all types of exercise, whether it be heavy weights, boxing or an endurance event.

I’ve always been passionate about fitness and sport, from a young age with athletics and netball, to then later on compete in triathlons and marathons during my past working life as a professional chef. I’ve been working full-time in the fitness industry for over 6 years now, and I’m continually seeking new qualifications to be able to continuously improve my skill sets and helping clients achieve their goals.
